The department 'Very Large Business Applications' (VLBA) of the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg is led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jorge Marx Gómez. The two main research topics are centred around large business applications (ERP, CRM, etc.) and environmental management information systems (EMIS). The conjunction of these two topics result in other modern concepts like the Sustainability CRM, which aims to provide an integrated combination of sustainability aspects and conventional management of customer relationships. The topic of 'Sustainable Mobility' makes up its own research area within the department, which has its foundation in running and completed projects as well as in numerous scientific works in the field. How sustainable mobility can be achieved and supported by information systems makes up the central focus of research.
