Based on HaCon’s timetable information system HAFAS, the inter- and multimodal journey planner facilitates all connection searches and mobility requests. The central routing and navigation algorithm guarantees an intelligent calculation not only including various means of public transport, but also other mobility options such as footpaths, bike rides (with/without bike & ride), cars (with/without park & ride), e-cars (with/without charge & ride) and taxis.
A special interface enables the following functionalities within the journey planner:
After a journey has been calculated successfully, users can monitor it via a subscription: In case of deviations from the regular schedule (e.g. delays, cancellations), the change in connection will be automatically sent or “pushed” directly to the passenger’s email account or mobile phone. Third parties can also use this functionality: A charging station operator, for instance, stays informed about possible customer delays caused by changed public transport connections.
